Dr. Baskin is a Rochester native who attended The Ohio State University both as an undergraduate and as an optometry student. He graduated in 1969 and spent several years associated in practices in Rochester and Batavia. He also was on the staff of the Anthony Jordan Health Center and the Batavia Veterans Hospital. He served as president of the Rochester Optometric Society from 1984 to 1986. He was active in the Gates-Chili Rotary (with ten years of perfect attendance). He served as president in 1982. He and his wife live in Chili and have two grown sons. He enjoys gardening and the first hundred golf shots before picking up the ball and calling it a day.
